Unhappy Good bye sweet diamond

i took her to the vet for a work up and they kept her over night.

well a couple days after that she started to act odd. Walking into stuff, snapping at me, got my hand but only scrapped it with her teeth. Made the call to the vet. we get there and they gave me a muzzle for her. in the waiting room she started to have a seizure. They got me in a room right away.

the seizures just wouldnt stop. and he didnt think she could see. the vet said euthanizing would be the best thing. I should be getting a call hopefully tomorrow. The vet wanted to do a necropsy. He asked if she had any shots and she had just gotten the rabies shot and she's had her other shots. He said due to the parvo her immune system may not have been up to any shots yet. ( how could a vet miss this? i mean they did a bloodwork stuff). He kept apologizing b/c he is the one who told me to go ahead with the rabies shot.

I thank everyone who gave me advice through her parvo issue then to the behavioural issues.

Your life here was short but you were loved very much...mojo, charley, eggroll and cherokee are up there to keep you company till we meet again.

I love you my dipdog.

thank you for all the kind words. this has been very hard. after all i did to save her from the parvo i only lost her in the end anyways. Harley's a tad lost too. he goes outside he runs around looking for her and when we go to bed he goes to her bed and lays down with a pathetic look on his face. Do animals know what death is? do they mourn?

ABSOLUTELY YES they do mourn. My lab still isn't the same since we lost Dauber in October.

pfcnationalguard,

I am so sorry for your loss. But know that now she is free from pain at The Rainbow Bridge.

Hugs to all of you.
