Temperature following spay?

Hi everybody
Just a quick question - we had our dog bonnie spayed a few weeks ago. She scratched her stitches and they became infected but after a course of painkillers, antibiotics and her wearing an e-collar, socks and a scarf and pad wrapped round her middle (which she didnt enjoy one bit lol) her scar has completely healed now. we have been back and forth to the vets for checks and last night they felt her internal stitches too and they're fine. BUT her temperature has been constantly at the high end of normal at 39.1 (it was 39.4 last week). They think this may be down to her getting stressed and panting at the vets and are going to recheck it on 7.7.12. She seems fine - eating, drinking, torturing us for walks etc etc. Can some dogs just have a higher temperatures than other dogs?

thanks for reading

That really is not that elevated. I would say it is due to stress of the vet visit.
