I have a regular halter harness for bentley, and a step in harness for him, I like the security of the regular style one but I hate where the d ring is so far down his back, I like where the d rings are on the step in but I hate how the middle strap doesn't adjust. I also hate taking it off after each walk and putting it on.. I was looking into puppia harnesses for him, could he wear that all day till I put him in his crate for the night? with out hurting his shoulders?

what are some suggestions?

In my opinion I wouldnt leave a harness on him at all times, a proper fitting harness for walking with a dog would not be comfortable for them to lay in all the time as well as chaffing that can occur not from a tight harness but just the harness always rubbing the same spot. harnesses arent that time consuming or difficult to put on, your dog would probably appreciate you spending a minute to unbuckle his harness at the end of the walk!

I always do. I was just wondering if a soft harness like a puppia could be left on.

Yeah I wouldn't leave it on any longer than a regular harness. While they are more comfortable because they distribute the weight more they can get warm underneath all the mesh, and still chafe areas like their armpits and boTtom of neck.

My harness are as good as a cue to my dogs. By the harness (regular, pulling, back pack), the girls know what we are up to. When the harness comes off, it's time to settle down.

You dog will get into a rhythm of harness on/off.

SENSE-ation Dog Harness

I like this one a lot.

I also have a "easy walker" harness but it pinched Zoe's armpits. It's okay but I like the one that I posted the link to better.
