Grass eating and gurgling tummy

My dog has always had a taste for grass, but the past few days when I take him outside all he wants to do is eat grass, maybe pee, and then go back to eating grass. He is still pooping twice a day (normal amount), eating, drinking, playing, roughing up the cat, and in general seems just fine. His stomach has been gurgling louder than usual too.

He gets HeartGard on a regular cycle, and his poop is a normal color, consistency, and doesn't seem to have anything 'weird' in it. He does have a tendency to gobble up things when we are on our walks, bleck.

Is this a call to the vet, or am I just being overly worried? Any home remedies for these symptoms?

Grass eating is often a sign of a mildly irritated tummy, as is gurgling. I would not be overly worried if he is still eating, pooping, peeing and otherwise his normal self. It's probably just one of those things he ate on a walk. If he's not back to normal in a few days, then perhaps you can start to worry. That's what I'd do anyway.

I agree with Tess. He just has a tummy upset. If you want to help settle his tummy, you can add some boiled white rice to his food.

One of my dogs, Tiger, grazes grass like a cow, but still eats, plays and behaves like the big puppy he is. Kirby, my older girl, will sometimes have the loud stomach for part of a day, and will sometimes skip meals for a day or two, but then she's back to her normal diet and regular routines. I agree with all of the above, and just generally watching for anything further unusual. Also, some oatmeal is good for sensitive stomachs.
