Dog won't take meds with Peanut Butter anymore

I need some serious help.

My dog has always taken her meds in peanut butter.

Just yesterday and today, she wants nothing to do with the peanut butter.

I really need her to take these meds (it's really important antibiotics).

What else can I put her meds in???

She NEVER refused peanut butter until last night & today.

Piece of boiled chicken with a lick of butter or peanut butter chaser works well for us.

The chaser makes them swallow and covers any bad tastes. So bribe and then reward instead of just bribe.

regarding the peanut butter, I tried to give her just peanut butter without the pill. Now she wants NOTHING to do with peanut butter at all. I think she has made a bad association with it.

I find it easier and quicker to just put the pill/capsule directly in Samantha's mouth, at the back of her tongue, then just rub her neck, and of course a treat afterwards for being such a good girl. Probably not her favorite thing, but she tolerates it, and I always know I can get any oral medication into her when required.

We just open our dogs mouth, tilt his head up, and drop the pill down his throat. Then we reward him.
