dog surgical staples, do i remove them?

never asked the vets and googles giving me no answers, do I let them fall out naturally or shall I got to vets, how do I remove one?

this morning i woke up to Rosie in a tiny panic hitting me in the face because one of the staples had gotten stuck to the duvet cover, I had to calm her down and remove it, but it was a bitch to remove, was tempted to just go get a pair of scissors on my duvet haha

anyway now the staple is just hanging out like some sort of butt antenna!
which needs removing because I have a 1 year old and her and rosie are basically attached to the hip and the last thing i want is Rosie poking Connies eyes out or scratching her with the staple by accident
how do i remove this? or should I ring the vets and get them to remove it?

Vet. There are special tools to remove them along with technique. They should be in for 10-14 days depending on how she's healing.

Tke veterinarian that performed the surgery should remove them for you at no cost. Get it done as soon as the wound has closed.

Get her to the vet so he can remove the one that is just hanging and can determine whether the rest are ready to come out or need more time.

Just like a regular person cannot remove surgical staples from a human patient they cannot remove them from the family pet. There's a special tool that is used to remove them.
