Charlies first vet visit...

I took Charlie in for his first vet visit yesterday and he got his yearly shots as well as rabies and a microchip. I think the microchip must have hurt because when they brought him back in he was shakeing and looked really sad and then he just leaned on me. Then the vet came into the room and gave him a treat and he decided she was fine, then she gave him his shots and he decided she was not ok, but then she gave him another two treats because she said he was such a good boy and he wagged his tail for her and gave her kisses. LOL I guess the saying is true, the way to a mans heart is through his stomach, or at least with Charlie it is. LOL He weighs 23.7 pounds and they gave us a heartworm sample and a prescription to order some on line. I like that it was the vet that told me I might could get it online cheaper and offered to give me the prescription with out me asking for it.

Thats great that everything went okay. Did they do a fecal exam also?

I am always nervous with the first vet visit.

The size of the injection for the micro chip is why my vet prefers to do it when the pet is spay/neutered.

Yes he had a fecal and he was all clear so that is good. He was already neautered when I got him last week or I would of had it done then to. I feel like we should be set when we get to go trucking he is chipped and also will have his tag by then. I ordered it off ebay and it is a green angel.
