We thought distemper for a long time...now Iam not so sure, she doesn't have the bad feet pads and rotted teeth usually seen on distemper dogs, I guess its possible tho.

Thanks all of you. I just went back to work so Iam still trying to get back in the routine.

after this rant, I go home and Critter was fine, all bouncy and wanting to play with me....wierd wierd dog, but ina couple days shes'll be all pathetic again. Iam eager to finally try the DAP, I also bought a calming cap, but they don't give you size to do size on the internet anywhere, so i don't know who it will end up fitting.

Canine Behavior Spotlight: Behavior Problems and D.A.P - (Dog Appeasing Pheromone)

Quote:
What is D.A.P.™?
Developed for pet owners by veterinarians, D.A.P.™ (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) mimics the properties of the natural pheromones of the lactating female. Within three to five days after giving birth, the female generates pheromones that give their puppies a sense of well-being and reassurance, known as appeasing pheromones.
people claim it helps with everything from SA to housebreaking to chewing, to well...you name it. Its worth a shot at this point. I have five dogs, so its bound to do som'thing positive for at least one of them

I want to use DAP for Liza so I'm very interested to hear about it!

Critter is the insane pomeranian. Chili is more like an obnoxious tom boy and yes he posts for me occasionally

The dap comes today, I have to pick it up at work tho.

It says about 24 hours min but a week is best.

So I just brought it home, I took it out of the box and instantly got four very interested noses in my lap. I let them take turns sniffing it and they were VERY interested in it....three of them even tried to take it from me.

Critter of course, didn't care less.

anyway, its in the wall now, we will see.

Interested in knowing how this works for you and if it works for all the dogs or just for some of them!
