Question Bad foods

Hi guys!
Well, my dog has gone into this stage where he eats EVERYTHING on the floor... I'm not sure what is okay for him to eat and what's not... It would help if you guys could compile a list of foods that aren't good for dogs...
thx

Thanks! It's good to know that onions and garlic aren't life threatening. Cause we cook a lot with those, and he often picks up scraps off the floor... :-)

It is toxic if you give too much so I just stay away from it.

"Onions and garlic contain the toxic ingredient thiosulphate. Onions are more of a danger.

Pets affected by onion toxicity will develop haemolytic anaemia, where the pet’s red blood cells burst while circulating in its body. Symptoms include Hemolytic Anemia, labored breathing, liver damage, vomiting, diarrhea, discolored urine.

The poisoning occurs a few days after the pet has eaten the onion. All forms of onion can be a problem including dehydrated onions, raw onions, cooked onions and table scraps containing cooked onions and/or garlic. Left over pizza, Chinese dishes and commercial baby food containing onion, sometimes fed as a supplement to young pets, can cause illness.

While garlic also contains the toxic ingredient thiosulphate, it seems that garlic is less toxic and large amounts would need to be eaten to cause illness."

I would just rather be safe than sorry. I think large amounts could vary from dog to dog so how do you what defines large amounts for your dog. So I just stay away from it.

Thanx for this information as I did not know exactly why onions/garlic were toxic. Also my dogs are crazy about raw almonds and I dont see them on the toxic list so will continue to give as a treats.
