Ares made it through surgery and now he will have 4 visits per week for chemotherapy(already started). The vet doesn't sound very hopeful as Ares is not eating much and his condition is still critical.

That's for now.

I don't know if he will be healthy again only 10% of the dogs live longer than 3 years...I just hope cause he was very skinny when I got him and he is old already

Back home with Ares

! I was really looking forward to this.
No big news yet and Ares is much less energetic and quite lethargic. I think it's cause to chemotherapy

. I'll take him myself to the vet tomorrow and discuss if we can change chemotherapy with something else to help him eat more and be more energetic. Well if there is any other option!

It is just that I don't think he will make it like that. He is not eating all his food and he is very skinny as he was. He is not getting better. He was better before the chemotherapy tho...so may the vet find something else to help. I know that chemotherapy is probably the best solution in such situations but I'm not sure if it suits Ares due to his skinny condition.

Well the vet said that chemotherapy is most effective he knows. So we will continue for now and he will do some research to see if he can find anything else.
Ares seems a little better today...he ate all his food and had a good 1 hour of playtime (that's a lot compared to the other days).
