I use a kong zoom groom (its a rubber brush) on all of my dogs to remove loose dead hair. It works very well on all 4. Plus it is the only brush I use on Penny (Min Pin) and Roxy (Pug).
I'm thinking that Charlie might have a coat similar to a min pin???

I love a slicker brush

And the furminator

Use them on Mikey (he's medium length single coat-so no undercoat and not long but not short fur) and all my rabbits (one very long angora haired bunny).

I also bought this

Which is kind a useless

And I have one of these-no idea how someone thinks it was a good idea-or maybe I'm doing it wrong...because it gets like one peice of hair out

Oh and for spring shedding I am going to pick up a horse de shedder tool as they work GREAT and I can't find mine.

I thinkt he zoom groom and the shedding rake will work well.

Not sure the furminator will. I have tried to use it on small thin coated dogs, and it doesnt always work out to well depending ont he dog.
