Question Vacuums (and other pet hair solutions)

Sort of came up in the shedding section so

What vacuum do you have? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

We have almost every cleaning tool imaginable with the buns and Mikey -well and me-I'm' a slob

This is our vacuum now-it's essentially the same as the old one we had-just a newer version. We rebought it when the old one finally died-but that was one trooper of a vacuum. Three years sucking fur, bunny poops, hay everything.

We also have shop vac's-we have the littlest one they make and the largest one they make. Tbh-I only like them for wet messes-like pee on carpet-you can throw water and cleaner on the spot and vac it up-repeat until 'spotless' but other then that-useless, huge and loud.

We also bought a bissel steamcleaner-cheap little thing-doesn't heat the water-but you put hot water in it. LOVE IT!

And we just bought the H2O Mop-it's awesome on hardwood, lino etc Really a great buy

So what do you use-what do you like-what doesn't work?

As for a regular Vacuum I have a Hoover Wind tunnel (bagless). I have had this one for about 8 yrs now and still going strong. I even take it to one of my clients homes as her vacuum is crap. (Newer thing but doesnt pick stuff up)

I sweep atleast 5-6x a week (depending on my work) with 3 dogs, 4 cats and 3 kids. The only time the hoover didnt work was when I let my SIL use it in her house (we wont go there) and it came back with 3 AA batteries stuck in the hose just past the brushes.

I keep my filters replaced and it still works like a charm.

I havent been in a house yet (and I have been in some REALLY bad ones) that this old vacuum didnt work perfectly picking up everything and ready for more.

I always get complements about how well my house smells, I dont use candles or the plug in scented things or sprays. Just Lysol (lemon) and my old sweeper.

I have the bisel specifically for pet hair...

it works ok, but there is like, ZERO suction when you use the attachments...and they are heavy and ackward....

I have an old panasonic that I use if I need attachments...LOL

I have also a carpet cleaner similar to yours mikey, we had a fancy one but it quit working.

I have a Dyson. Not the pet one just the regular - I think it is the best although a bit heavy.

We have mostly hardwood floors but we own a Dyson Animal DC14 - it ROCKS! But since our current furniture, which still is in great shape (only 7yr old), seems to attrack pet hair and refuse to let go unless its on our clothes, we bought a new set - leather, no more fur on furniture!

BTW, I read the name on my vacuum, and steam cleaner. I have a Hoover, and a Bissel, but will probably forget that fact in a few hours.
