Default taking dogs long johns off?

Using the furminator on an outside dog just before winter, wouldn't that be like taking off its long johns they need to keep warm in cold?

I don't know how bad she sheds but Kelsey sheds ALOT. Have you ever noticed loose fur that is just sitting on her? That is the fur the furminator gets.

It seemed to work really well. I don't know if it hurts or not cause I really want to get that hair so I work it with some pressure. I got quite a bit off Stella. I wonder if she is gonna stop shedding for a while with the temp dropping outside. It took a 5 gallon bucket worth of hair off Murph.

Yea I remember when my wife bought the brush this summer I was like "$45" for a dog brush you have got to be kidding. She said they say its the best. We had gotten a 5yr old boarder collie off of craigslist. It was living in squaller. The dog was gonna be the dog instead of Stella. The dog was working out great. Didn't go off the porch was a happy dog and had a nice deep bark. 3 months later we took it to the vet cause it was walking weird.....4th stage bone cancer and was really around 8yrs old ..put her down that day...I guess the people didn't want to deal with the dog and cancer so they lied on craiglist........well it had a great last three months with our family I guess...thats how we ended up with the furminator...it was to transform that mess of a dog into a cutie and it did.

Oh Root sorry to hear about your last dog. But glad to hear you made her last days nice.

I brush pretty hard with Kelsey too and she seems to enjoy it. I don't think it hurts but I guess depends on how thick the coat is. I am anxious for her to stop shedding too.
