A Spot on the behind

So Beuford has a spot on his 'behind', on the right side lol.
He doesnt have anything wrong with him, medically etc, so there are no fleas or anything.
But that is usually the place he will turn and give it abit of a nip to scratch it, and since he is white, it turned the area a slight brown.. he has had this ever since i have found him, and i wanted to know, what you might suggest that will help get rid of this 'spot' ? i don't exactly know what is causing it, but i have a hunch that it is from him nipping that specific area..

I have some dog shampoo, specifically for white dogs, and i think it helped abit, but im not specific, but i don't want to have to give him a million baths if he doesnt need it you know ? I would hate to ruin his lovely coat etc

Did the vet check it out totally (with a scrape)?

If yes-and it's just discolored-use 'white horse' shampoo (it's blue to bring out the white) and also work on the behavioral reason he's chewing-more exercise (though-your starting agility that should really help if not eliminate it )

Well he naturally is a very chewy, mouthy dog.
He is actually on my bed, making it a slobber mess lol !
But he usually has to have something to chew, he likes to chew on my hands, my clothes, he has already made me replace several shoes and bed comforters lol, when i cut his nails he likes to chew on me. I don't know but he will be getting more toys that should hopefully eliminate the habit.

When i take him for his yearly vet check i will get the vet to check it out, and since i have a grey horse that looks white i will have to get some of that shampoo and i know exactly what i will be using
I shall try it out.

Lately me and him have been going out for an hour aday to get alot of exercise and he certainly runs around alot, but since we will be doing more exercise, hopefully that will eliminate that issue if that is the cause.

Mikey is a pretty mouthy dog too but luckily doesn't chew himself-but he's a big kiss machine

lol i shall go and post photos right aways
But yes i know the shampoo you are referring too

I am not sure when the yearly vet exam is, my dad usually takes care of it, but since i have a job now and it is my dog i feel it is my responsibility to provide what he needs including the vet, my dad has enough on his plate and i don't want him paying for my dog also
