He is a rescue mutt (dingo + golden retriever, looks like) and he doesn't have baths a lot cause he hates water and we brush every week.

You should try bathing more often and brush everyday. My dogs are bathed ever 2-4 weeks depending on how dirty they get and are brushed out every day. When you bathe make sure you rinse out all of the shampoo and get the coat dried all the way down to the skin. There are waterless shampoos that you could try as well, but IMO a real bath with water is much better.

Good suggestion!! You can also use between bath spritz to keep him smelling nice until the next bath.

He had a bath and he smells like flowers! He hates it though. Simba acts like he got attacked by a bear. He stinks again. Simba, why can't you ever smell good for two hours?!
