You might try a regular baby shampoo. That's what I use on my dogs and it works great. It's gentle on baby's skin, so it should good for your Yorkies skin.

If that's not the problem try catching a 5 gallon bucket full of rain water from your drain spouts, using a screen to filter out any large particles and washing her in that. I had a friend who's dog was alergic to tap water. She thought it was maybe floride added to the water and so she would use rain water. Your Yorkie is probably small enough you can also buy distilled water from Wal-Mart, or any water without floride added, and see if that helps. I'd still use the baby shampoo though.

Good Luck!

Does she itch only after a bath, or does she itch all of the time?
If she itches all of the time it could caused by an allergy?

But if it is only after a bath, you could try a different shampoo. Try a mild shampoo with aloe and/or oatmeal.

Also make sure you rinse really well. Rinse longer than you think you need to just to be sure all of the shampoo is gone.

Oatmeal shampoos are the best. I agree with the above statement

Check with your vet to make sure that there is no health issue. Oatmeal is good for dry and itchy skin. Don't pour the shampoo directly to the fur but dilute the shampoo with a bit of water before apply to your Yorkie's fur to cut down some soap. Applying conditioner after each bath also helps.
