Papillons are sort of wash and wear dogs..and they certainly don't get stinky or dirty very easily, so I only bathe when I can tell that they need one..or just before company!

Tar and Sulphur shampoo by Nature's Specialties. TAR & SULFUR WITH ALOE for dogs and horses Nature's Specialties. I personally use this quite often on a multitude of dogs and it is an amazing product. Get your dog good and wet, use it diluted and work into a lather. Let sit on the coat for a good 10 minutes before rinsing off. Follow up with Remo conditioner: Aloe Re-Moisturizer conditioner for dogs, cats, horses, and small animals Nature's Specialties. The flakies should be gone (unless you have a sever case where you need to shampoo more than once (sometimes I have to do this twice for cocker spaniels). All of Nature's Specialties products are fantastic, I highly recommend them. The only product I will use for dogs. Do NOT use tar and sulphur on cats.

If you use a high quality product you can wash your dog everyday followed by a conditioner if you wanted to. I bathe my dog weekly.

Depends.
Can be somtimes as much as 2 or 3 times a week, or as little as once in 3 monhs. Depends how I feel, and how stinky he is.

He is getting a bathe tonight.

Once every 6-8 weeks usually, unless he decides to get extra muddy while on a walk. He's short coated so I do wipe him down with a baby wipe weekly.

Hi,I have 2 inside dogs and 1 outside dog.The outside dog is probably bathed once every 5-6 months. My inside dogs on the other hand are bathed more frequently than that.Lizzy is a miniature Fox Terrier, she is bathed once every two months.Toby is a Wheaten Terrier and gets smelly easily,so he is bathed once every 1-2 months.I dislike having to bathe him so frequently but he smells and he is an inside dog so it is neccessary!!

I still feel silly Mikey is bathed about once a week or twice a month He's right now-being spring-rinsed once a day at LEAST lol

And TBH it works for him. WE adopted him shedding with a dandruffy coat, he plugged the tub with hair so much. He's now soft and shiny and sweet -seriulsly looks like a pro groomed him now-no dandruff

I bathe my dog once ever week or two weeks. Some people worry about "too much" bathing, but that really depends on the shampoo. It's true that a harsh shampoo can strip out the natural oil that is good for a dog's coat, and so too much bathing would be bad. But if you use a good quality natural shampoo, that's not a problem-- I really like the TrueBlue products-- they are all natural, not chemicals or harsh detergents, and they don't strip out that good natural oil

Currently bathe Willow once a week to once every week and a half. I went to the pet store to buy doggie shampoo last week though and asked the groomers there what they thought would be the best shampoo. When I told them I bathe her about once a week they started giving me dirty looks and lecturing me on depleting the oils from her fur saying that she was probably more stinky and seeming like she needs a bath more often since I bathed her too often.

I was nice and was like "Ah, okay, thanks for the advice," but I kind of wanted to say, "Lady, look, she's a puppy, if she can get into it and if she can roll in it she'll probably try to see how it smells on her. Puppy wipes just don't clean that kinda mess out of the fur. Also see how she's all low to the ground, trust me when she's too lazy to move she's still full of energy, and so she's perfectly happy using her front paws and dragging the rest of herself around. Also see how those ears hit the ground? Well let's just say they don't only land in the food bowl when she's sniffing. Now wanna give those lovely dangly ears another pet? yeah...I didn't think so."
