Yes the breed has a lot to do with how often. I have Labs and have never had to bathe my dogs. They are naturally clean and a good brushing usually keeps them that way.

i bathe my dogs every half a year or once a year.he and she dont get so dirty becouse he and she never go laying in mood only sometimes.

anyway i always go to a river or creek to wash them becouse they hate the bathtoob and shower cabins lol.but the bad point about the river is that they are too busy to get clean becouse they are chasing eachother in the water and i get all wet.i usally dress up in a swimming suite when iam with them.if its cold i use either the shower cabin or my brothers HUGE bathtoob.trust me its 2 times wider than a normal one.

yes i wipe my dogs paws before they come in if its mucky.but the do not get their paws ONLY wet and dirty also their whole legs lol.

it depends on the dog how much should you wash it.since i got a german sheperd i dont have to wash it that often but never wash your dog too often becouse it can get a deasese.usally skin deasese.

i've been babbling on too much now lol.

Every three months or so, she can get really, really stinky! She just had a bath today.

Right now both of my dogs are getting bathed once a week.

Normally Visa can go 1-3 months but she's blowing her coat after having pups, and when she does that she not only sheds her hair, but her skin too -- she's so dandruffy right now I can't stand it, I have to give her an oatmeal bath once a week, blowdry her, and then spray lots of good skin conditioner on her.
Tandem is a pup so I find he just gets dirty really fast. He still has that soft puppy hair that collects everything, and he is in the lake so often he starts to smell. He's been getting bathed once a week since 3 weeks old, and bathed and force-dried since 5 weeks old -- so he's definatly used to it!! If I miss a week he's a wreck!

Once a week. Being a poodle.... A bath and blow dry keeps him clean and fluffy.

Mikey sleeps in bed with us so he must be reasonably clean We bath him about every 3-4 weeks. Unless we've taken him swimming or camping -then he gets a bath. (If he's going swimming often-we just rinse him and don't use shampoo everytime)

We use a really gentle oatmeal shampoo and a cream rinse afterwards, and he's not had a reaction or dry skin so it must be OK. I know in the winter we'll likely step down the regime to be about every 2 months-it gets VERY cold here (40 below) so bathing will mean hours with not being able to go outside. (Plus-he won't be digging up my garden in the snow LOL)

I don't bathe my often either, you're not supposed to because it rids of the natural oils and dries out the skin (used to bathe dogs). I bathe mine if they get into mud or something else, half the time its a rinse with water
