Default grooming before and after pics

I love grooming my shih tzu/poodle mixes Opal and Jasper. It's obvious I'm not a pro, but I can get the job done.

Whether you groom your own dogs, are a professional groomer or have pics of your dog(s) before and after a grooming post them here!

Here is Opal:

And Jasper:

Wow, Opal and Jasper look really good! Looks like they came right home from the groomer. What a pair of cuties.

Now, I don't groom my own dog. He goes to a local groomer. But I am starting to think that maybe I should either switch to a new place or buy some supplies since the price is getting ridiculous at $50 per cut. But without further ado, here is Toby's before and after.

After

(Sorry about the size of the pictures, I was being too lazy to re-size them. )

Thanks MSE and Instinct!

Toby is adorable! Is he a tibetan terrier?

Actually my family has no clue what Toby is. I found him stuck under a fence and no one replied to our found dog flyer's and mention of him in the paper so for all we know he could be. The vet however thinks he's some sort of Poodle terrier mix but now that you mention it he does have the similarities of a Tibetan Terrier.

WOW you do a great job!! I can totally see the difference Very cute pups

We keep Mikey pretty well groomed but he's pretty easy. His hair is long for short hair but he's no long haired dog We keep his nails dremel'd short and brushed and bathed.

I was actually thinking-just for kicks-to take him to a real groomer and see if we'd notice a difference. I had this wonderful groomer see an angora rabbit our shelter took in-she had pounds of matts and I couldn't figure it all out-so we saw this groomer and she did it for free even though it took the two of us two hours. And she was so gentle and nice-and did a wonderful job-like trimmed toe hair-I didn't realize what a difference those little things make! So I dunno was thinking about going to a groomer just to see what he'd look like all done up

WOW! they look so cute!. We've never done dog grooming before because we always got the short haired dog. But looking at the pictures want me to get a long haired dog so I can groom her too. It' so nice watching them all groomed up.

Thank you everyone! I've got a nice set of Kim Laube clippers, but I will admit that my old $30 ones from Walmart worked just as well. I'd love to get a nice pair of curved scissors for doing their feet, though. I've thought about taking mine to a professional, too, just to see the difference. I have the most trouble with their faces, getting their chins even. It's rewarding to see them all fluffed and neat and smelling so good!

those are cute dogs! and you did a good job... i used to clip my cocker spaniel..(she's passed on now) after the first couple of tries i got to be pretty good at it... it is sort of fun, since you know for sure the dog isn't going to complain about how it turns out...
