Sophie has always slept with me or my mom. We waited a few weeks until she was potty trained, and bigger. She was only about a pound when we got her! I was also concerned because I didn't know if it was okay or not. I recently read an article that basically said its okay as long as the owners are okay with it. =]

I don't know if it's "okay" or not and I'm not really sure if I even care....lol but we are now sleeping with a Mastiff and from day one too. I had fully intended on having her sleep in the HUGE kennel at night but that didn't pan out and she also walks right over the x-pen we have as well, so being the horrible pet owners we are, we let her up on the bed and she passed out instantly and that is where she will stay.
Shameful isn't it?

My husband is only home for about 2 weeks, every 3 months or so, so pretty soon it wont be such a tight fit in the king sized bed. BUT I think as she grows up, we are going to have to slide a single bed beside our bed just to be able to accommodate everyone haha

My oldest peke sleeps near my head, the others prefer to sleep elsewhere, one in the laundry basket, one in the kitchen (near the food) and the other beside the a/c

She gets too hot and wants to go downstairs and sit in one of her many baskets lol

Three of ours have the opportunity, but only two of them choose to. The third likes his bed on the ground. A fourth dog sleeps loose in the living room as she's too big to share the bed LOL and the rest sleep in crates/xpen for various reasons (would wake us up, chase a cat if they get bored, chew up stuff, ect)

Jax will come up on the bed, but slowly wiggles down to the floor or downstairs to his bed. We have a cal king, and he wants no part of it.

I lived in an early 1900's ranch house in a very cold place during college, no insulation, no heater, and the walls were like 4 inches thick at most? I had one 20# tom cat wrapped around my feet, his 20# mother on my right side, a small border collie on my left side and chihuahuas tucked in all around. Those were the warmest and coziest nights of my life =)

Brownie can't jump up on the bed anymore. It's to high for him and he has arthritits. He never did sleep on it though. As a pup he would sleep on the couch in the family room and now he sleeps on his doggy bed in there.

Cuddles sleeps on her doggy bed in the kitchen.

Lion sometimes sleeps in my bed and sometimes he opt for his crate. Just depends on what mood hes in I guess. He is a GREAT snuggler though.

Ironically, it's the 7 pound cat that takes up most of the queen-sized bed. How? I have no idea.

Cats ARE bed hogs! I have one that will sleep in between my legs so I cannot move. She also likes sleeping on my neck, but in the winter she is like a scarf.

Betty is not allowed on the bed. Not because she is to big, but because she wakes up in a puddle of her own drool daily.

Tank always sleeps with us. He will either sleep at the foot of the bed or right next to me. We only have a queen size bed so he takes up ALOT of room but if he's happy that's all that matters.
