Do it yourself dog-grooming...

So, I'm getting bored in Ohio, and with the dog-park no longer as appealing, I've been looking for places I can take my dogs...

Couple that with the fact that the hotel is NOT the ideal place for giving two GSP's baths, and I found a self-service dog-grooming place.

It's VERY similar to the do it yourself car-wash stalls with the power-washer, brush, etc...except geared towards dogs.

Walk in, get your tokens, find a stall...throw on an apron (provided), and get started.

They have big ol' stainless still washtubs, complete with a telescoping ramp and door into the tub...(we don't need no stinking ramp, we jump anywhere we wanna go!).

You put your tokens in a machine on the wall, and turn the dial to what you want...they have tearless shampoo, conditioner, flea/tick rinse, deodorizer and just plain water...

They provide towels, AND a warm-air dryer hose (think similar to the hose on a shop-vac).

The dogs LOVED it!

I thought it was pretty cool too...you pay for the 'time' - $5.00 for 7 minutes...I ALMOST got a whole dog washed, rinsed, deodorized and dried in 7 minutes (remember, they're GSP's, would probably take a little longer for a golden or a chow, or something with a dense coat...)

Check it out...there are other dogs, but you get your own stall, and you can conquer two issues at once...other dogs AND baths...

I needed something where my dogs would do REALLY well...and I found it. They are good at standing there getting sprayed with a hose.

Sorry if this is a pretty common thing, it's the first one I'd ever seen....

I've never been to one but there is one in Austin that I've heard about. Way cool that you took your doggies! I think they should make more of 'em!

I've read about them and seen them but never been! We were going to go on holidays-I was googling them to go when I was like *facepalm* we're in a hotel and have a tub...duh!!!

Actually that's how I switched from dog shampoo-We just used my moisturizing shampoo since we didn't bring his, and he was SOFT after! He has coarse coarse hari but my shampoo makes him so soft and smells nice (and my vet says its fine!)

So yeah-my long story of how I almost went to one lol

We have one here. I have never used it, but I have seen it. It isn't nearly as nice as what you described though!

Some people may think we are all crazy or insane, but the fact is; Dogs are our best friend`s , they look after us in their own-way... this is why I believe we should give them as much love and attention as they deserve.
