ok so after 9 more hours of schooling i will be a certified groomer. yay. anyway, i have a lot of my equipment all set. the only thing i need is my clipper blades. right now i just have a #10 that my clippers came with (the andis 5 speed clippers- which i love love love) and the 8pc snap on metal comb set. i would really like to find a blade set so that i dont have to go through and buy all of them separately. but i cant seem to find a blade set anywhere at all. anyone have info on that possibly? or does it just not exist? i do not want skip tooth blades either. thanks!!!!!!

That is great. Congratulations! Are you going into business for yourself? You will need more than a #10 blade for grooming. Andis sells an 8 piece magnetic chrome comb set for $29.99. As far as a blade set, I don't think they sell that. Maybe just purchase the blades you will be using most and collect more over time. The #10 blade is probably the most frequently used and you already have that. I would next purchase the #30, as that is probably the second most frequently used. The #4 and #5 are also used on several breeds, but not as often as the others, so you may be able to wait and buy those later.

maybe it depends on where you live as to what is used most? no one around where i am really gets breed standard cuts. but then again, most of them are mutts so they dont have a standard cut. as i said, i already have the comb set. i just wanted to see if i could get blades in a set somehow. thanks

I have never seen a full set..only separately. Congrats btw! I have been a certified groomer since May! I love it!! You have the Andis Ppower Groom plus!? Those clippers are amazing. I adore Andis. I have been through a bunch of Oster blades already. The Andis UltraEdge are much better quality, IMO. Good Luck!

yeah I love my clippers. there was a groomer I worked with who had them and they were so nice. I have small hands too so they were perfect for me to use. I ended up getting my blades, my mother bought them for me for xmas :) and I have my certification and my first grooming apt tomorrow lol.

GDM I love the andis power deshedder- a furminator at 1/3 price! Great for undercoat. I don't add the batteries.

Also andis is awesome! I called bc the ceramic thing broke and they put one on back order (the part) and then sent me the full blade so I wouldn't have to do without. Two free replacements ! I'm wanting a #7 and a #40 so if you see them cheap holla!

hmmmm. actually I saw some that were not badly priced on ebay. I ended up getting mine from petedge since they were having a sale of buy 2 get 1 free on some of the blades.

since I was certified last week ive been in business for a week. in the week I had 5 dogs and a cat. so things are good so far! hopefully soon I can open a shop and stop doing only house calls.... the cat proved to be quite the chore. I knew they weren't easy as I have helped with them before, and this was a REALLY nice cat to work on, one of the best ive seen... but geez.... I cant stand how it turned out.....
