Price Difference TOTW?

After hearing about Taste of the Wild from so many of you here who use it and also saying what great results your dogs have, along with it being deamed a lower cost-better quality alternative, I decided to check it out when I went to get my dog food a few days ago.

Now I don't know if I am getting hosed becaue I live in Canada or if it's just because I'm in the Maritimes but it was about $69.00 for a 30 lb bag
That is only about $7.00 less than what I pay for Orijen! I was under the impression that most of you who use TOTW got yours for about 35 to $42 a bag.

I went to 2 different stores and the price was still the same.
I was just wondering how much others pay for TOTW in Canada.

Also from what I've read, Orijen is basically the same price whether you purchase it in Canada or the US, so I wonder why there is such a huge difference with TOTW? Confused

hmmm..whats the american/canadian dollar conversion? I pay about 40-50 for thirty lbs.

I pay 42 for 30 lb. It must be cost of shipping from manufacturer to the stores in Canada? Just my guess

It's about .96/on the dollar.
Could be the cost of shipping it and customs fees but wow
Other US dog food products are about the same cost either side of the border(give or take) just not TOTW -- seems strange, oh well *shrug*

K not familiar with currency conversions lol does that mean for every US dollar it converts to 0.96 cents in canada? I wonder if that's why, does that add up? Its 42 bucks here so maybe its more expensive there due to the conversion? I hope that made cents

pun intended lol

Edit: I read 69 sorry, guess that math does not add up.

Isn't it produced on the west coast of the US? If you are east coast canada, thats alot of shipping costs thrown in...

I suppose that could be it. I wonder if certain states pay more for TOTW based on how far away they are from the manufacturing plants?
My strawberries come from CA too but I don't pay $27.00 more for them...hahaha
