Help me decide which is better....

I went to get Charlie some better food today and I got Blue Buffalo but they also had this one and I wanted you guys opinion on it:
Venison Dog Food | Eukanuba.com

and here is the blue buffalo I got:
Blue Buffalo - Small Breed All Natural Dry Dog Food

I know they are different flavors but I hope you guys can help me out the Blue Buffalo was 18.99 for 8 pounds and the other was 10.99 for 4 pounds which makes it more expensive but if it is worth it I don't mind paying extra for it because Charlie is worth it. LOL I think he has me wrapped around his little paw and he has only owned me for about a week now. LOL

I would say Blue Buffalo because it doesn't have the corn meal. My dogs are on Blue Buffalo by the way. Mikey is the forum food expert though she would probably know better.

i used to feed blue buffalo puppy food and it was FAR too rich for my puppy. i do know, however, that is a great food containing great ingredients. it's probably the best food you can buy at petsmart in my opinion. if blue buffalo works for your dog, i would DEFINITELY feed that over eukanuba any day!

after experiencing blue buffalo, i moved to california natural because it was cheaper than iams and better than both that i've fed previously.

good luck!

I like the Blue buffalo better but that Eukanuba doesn't look terrible-some fillers and meals, more then I'd like. But the first ingredient is a real meat and they didn't try to hide the grain content so it's not too bad.

Well if the buffalo is better I will stick with it. It will give me a little more in my budget to spoil him with treats and stuff since it is a little cheaper.

Do you have a Tractor Supply Co near you??? If you do and you want to go with a protein source like venison, then I would suggest Taste of the Wild.
I buy the 30 lbs. bag for $43, but you can buy smaller bags, which should be similar in price to both of the other foods you are considering.

There is one in Weaverville thats about 15 minutes from were I live. I think since I already have the Blue Buffallo I will try it and see how he does on it. If I feel like it is not getting what I want done (no more dry skin) I will try the Taste of the Wild because I have heard, or should I say read, lots of good things about it to. I would have got it this time but I have to work the rest of this week at both my jobs and will not have time to go all the way out there to get it. Thanks again for all the help.

I would say if you were not looking to pay the extra than to just go with the Euk. They're both great foods, but since you're okay with the extra $$ then I'd definitely go with the Blue Buffalo.

Proctor & Gamble owns Eukanuba & Iams, P&G is one of the largest companies that do live animal testing for cosmetic purposes, not just palatablity or true health concerns. I avoid P&G products whenever I can.

I fully understand & respect that each person has their own opinion, I am simply sharing mine. You need to do what you feel is best for your pet, even if it means supporting P&G by buying their products.
