Full Moon Chicken Jerky Dog Treats (safe???)

I was at Walmart today and saw this:
"Full Moon Chicken Jerky Dog Treats are made in the USA from high-quality, natural ingredients. Full Moon uses only USDA inspected chicken that's raised cage free on family farms. "
Full Moon Chicken Jerky Dog Treats:
All natural
100% human-grade ingredients
Grain free
Gluten free
No artificial preservatives
No artificial flavors
No animal meals
Full Moon Chicken Jerky Dog Treats, 12.5 oz: Dogs : Walmart.com

So this should be ok for Niko to eat right?? Not related to the china chicken jerky problems since its made in the USA...?

What do you all think??

Looks good to me. I can't find the owning company information, which would be the last thing I'd check, but otherwise looks good.

Yay! I bought a bag but wanted to double check before I gave Niko any of it. He still has some other treats to finish before I open the bag.

Looks good to me. It's the ones that are made in China that I now refuse to buy.

I like that the Full Moon ones are using chicken raised in the USA. Now I wish that Shadow could have chicken!

With all the China junk recalls I just dont buy ANY treats except ones that are made in the USA now. Mostly Zukes, Real Meat, Pet Greens Treats, Bil Jac and Charlee Bear treats off amazon. Niko hasnt had chicken jerky for I dont know how long so he should be happy once I open the bag! Has to finish off his Charlee Bear and Zukes first though.

Sentry Duty

I bought a bag of these treats yesterday. I gave my rat terrier, Wolfie, a couple while we watched TV. When I was done I put the bag on my bedside table. The dog stood and stared at it for a good 20 minutes. I think he was trying to levitate it but finally gave up. My chihuhua loved them, too. I was giving them chicken or duck jerky but am always worried they won't chew it up and choke. This is nice crunchy meal.

This definitely looks like a tasty snack. I decided against buying these for my dog. In fact, I think I want to make my dog jerky treats. That way I control what goes into the jerky.

Walmart website lists the ingredients as chicken, green tea extract.
The bag I looked at listed ingredients as: Chicken, brown rice syrup, vinegar, green tea extract. I'm willing to bet Walmart's website is not up to date. I'm sure vinegar and green tea extract are fine, but the brown rice syrup is not. Makes the treat loaded with sugar--that way the dog wants to eat it. I also read that another company added sugar to chicken jerky to soften it up a bit. Look up "brown rice syrup" in foods.
BUT we all deserve an extra special treat every now and then.

I would bank on it being safe. I grabbed a few bags today. The research i obtained on this product was similar to that which you provided. I give my kids ONLY American made products.
