Default Favorite Dog Treat

I was curious what everyone's favorite dog treat was? I've been buying Flossies for ages, and think it's time to try something new. Any ideas?

I was giving these chicken and duck jerky treats on the assumption that they were healthy because they listed only one ingredient and weren't full of junk-dead wrong-FDA issued a warning about them (the meat is from China...)

So now I'm feeding Zukes-they are perfect training size, stinky (so Mikey loves them) and no junk in them Zuke's – Healthy, Natural Treats for Dogs & Treats for Cats

Ya I've been hearing of Zukes recently. I'll add it to my next shopping list. Anything else?

Mikey, didn't you bash Zuke's for using nutmeg?
Sunday morning scare

I feed Snickers the following treats:
Of all the things I give her, her favorite is the knuckle bone. It cost me $1.35 and it has kept her busy for at least an hour for 4 days in a row!

My dogs like chicken flavored Buddy Biscuits, carrots(well, most veggies), popcorn and raw meaty bones. One of them like those salmon skin twists, the other wont touch them.

I cut up natural balance rolls occasionally, but I use mostly kibble as treats

I don't appreciate the tone that's implied with 'bash' hope you didn't mean to come across the way you did.

The treats I'm feeding do not have nutmeg-if you see I'm feeding the training treats.

Salmon, Ground Rice, Ground Barley, Malted Barley, Gelatin, Vegetable Glycerin, Tapioca, Brewers Yeast, Natural Flavors, Fish Oil, Lecithin, Salt, Phosphoric Acid (a natural acidifier), Sorbic Acid (a preservative), Mixed Tocopherols, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C).
I advised that nutmeg is a potentially toxic food-and look it up if you'd like or keep feeding-I can't do anything but advise you that it's toxic.

Bowie gets Wellness treats. I also give him 'home made' treats: pieces of cheddar cheese, scrambled egg bits and bits of plain baked chicken breast.

i use the natural balance rolls and cut them up, bits of chicken, dehydrated and grilled (no seasonings) chicken livers (again dehydrated) cheese, and i cannot afford to fully feed my dog some of the more expensive brands of kibble ( he is on kirklands now) but i do use them as training treats... i try to use the kibble for regular training and the higher value stuff for counter-conditioning type stuff. hmm, what else? peanut butter, and cat food (in small amounts) clover doesn't care for any kind of vegetable...

oh and he also gets bully sticks and different types of rawhide chews and raw meaty bones regularly (tho i have to flash boil them or he won't eat them)

Chill out.

Back on topic...

I forgot 2 other treats I picked up at Petsmart...
Yes, she has had a wide variety of treats, but she only gets 1 (maybe 2) a day and I try to get ones that she has to chew. The more time she chews the treats the less time she has to chew things like socks or shoes.

For training I use rolled dog food from Petsmart. It's easy to cut up into big or small pieces and she goes crazy for it. The only downside is it needs to be refrigerated.
