Some dogs are just picky. For example with Nia I've tried at least 10 different kinds of kibble and she LOVES each one for about 3 to 5 days and after that she turns her nose up at any kind. I just don't care anymore. I let her eat when she's hungry and she's not starving to death.
Mine does like the grain free kibble a little more, maybe that's something you want to look into. A lot of small dogs are just picky and there's nothing they really LOVE and will always gobble up with gusto. |

| Hi Michiyofir! Welcome to Dogforum! I like it over here, nice folks and good advice to boot. Good to see you here too!
Dawn...It's ok with me that the canned Pedigree has fillers and stuff. I'm mainly using it just to get them to eat the kibble. I mix it 1 cup of kibble to 1/3 can of Pedigree for a day's feed. If I can get 1 cup of kibble into them a day, I'm happy. The Pedigree is just the filler for the kibble. They like the taste and I've tried other canned foods and they went to feed the outside critters. The critters outside (fox, racoons, ferral cats, etc, are loving all this stuff that I'm buying that Radar won't eat. LOL! Yes, Mich, I have one of those little picky eater dogs you mentioned. |

Mine won't eat her food if I mix in canned for more than 3 days in a row so I don't even do it anymore. Since your guy is probably part Papillon, he might have gotten that trait hehe. Nia honestly only eats a meal every 24-36 hrs. That's just how she is and I don't worry about it at all anymore. She's in perfect health. She is a tad thin but many younger Paps don't fill out properly until quite late, like 4 or 5 so it's all good. |

| I have used kirklands and TOTW. TOTW is much higher quality, but yeah, Kirklands is way better than most stuff...especially the 'gree. |

My interest is to have our pets with us as long as possible and as healthy as possible. OK the meal and bone meal literally can be anything an animal that was killed
or euthanized (PS this means the poison that killed the animal is in your dog food )The animal fat is restaurant grease that has been sitting in barrels for we dont know how long, reprocessed and put in dog food. The bha/bht is cancer causing in humans so they stopped using it in human food. Colors that cause seizures. Your dogs would be better off if you cooked real meat and used that instead of canned I dont think they would turn it down. |

| I am not talking about dogs and cats. The FDA admits the drug is in the food it is used on horses cows and any other animal that needs to be put down. I saw the chart of the foods they tested and all of the grocery store brand were on the list at the FDA. If not for forms like this most people would still not know about the recent recalls on dog food. That stuff that killed our pets was in the country for 3 years before it started killing our pets. The FDA did not act quickly enough the people on the forms and blods did and got the information out and saved lives. |

| Crio, are you saying Kirklands is a canned food you mix with TOTW? You've all convinced me to use something different from pedigree, but it needs to be a canned that Radar will like. Thanks everyone, for educating me on the dangers of using Pedigree even if only as a "taste" ingredient.
Michi, it could be that Radar is Papillon Picky. It does worry me when he doesn't eat though.

| Kirkland and totw are both made by diamond foods but costco does not have kirkland canned dog food only the dry chicken or lamb and they also have a grain free make by diamond dog food also called natures domain. how about just cooking either ground chicken or turkey the canned dog food is mostly water anyway. or use canned chicken |
