I have never heard of the food Hills, but looked it up on dog food analysis and the first ingredient listed is corn. Many vets sell food that is not very good quality because dog food companies pay them to advertise their product. It's the same with all the Science Diet crap. I big price for a food that isn't much better than any other low quality dog food.

Very true. I think Hills makes Science Diet.

If I could chose I would do TOTW or orijen. Niether are readily available so I feed Wellness.
I've heard really good things about Wellness. Our local TSC started carrying TOTW a few months ago and I was ecstatic!

I also feed Tatse of the Wild.
You can look at this site to find a great food that is available in your area. Foods are rated on a six star scale. Each food should have a complete review.

Orijen and Taste of the Wild can be found in the 6 star section (the highest rating) but there are many other foods to choose from.

I currently feed my two puppies dry Innova puppy food, but plan on switching them over to Taste of the Wild.

Oh gosh I had complete faith in my vet's suggestion as he is such a good vet, oh silly me fancy forgetting that its all down to money in the end, one would hope that a vet would be different but I suppose thats a little naive of me . I shall check out the suggestions above .

Sometimes vets aren`t concerned with diet-they don`t get a lot of education regarding it in school and may just recommend what the clinic is sponsored by-usually science diet

I would love to feed Orijen but they don't carry it anywhere near here, so I have settled with Taste of the Wild instead.

I use Blue ("Blue Buffalo"). It's a really good quality food and I feel better than Euk. Plus, Jazzy seems to really enjoy it and so does my mom's dogs.

However, my local pet shop nearby-- the owner is a vet and she sells a lot of things, but she carries a ton of NUTRO Natural Choice.

I switched my dog from Purina puppy chow to Blue puppy chow. I think he likes it and it's made his poo less runny and his skin condition better. I wanted to feed him Evo but they didn't have a puppy formula.
