From what I've read, meat meal can sometimes be a better first ingredient that just meat, as water gives it a lot of weight, and once the water is removed, it goes much farther down on the list. Of course, as long as the meal is named and has a guarantee of quality by the company.

If its Evo by innova (which I believe red meat bites only comes in EVO) Then its a really good food out there. I do believe its a 5 star food. As long as you have a high energy dog to burn off the food, I think it has a higher calorie or protein, can't remember which. then you dog will be fine.

innova also markets a "red meat bites" with grain. it's not evo but made by the same company and significantly cheaper.

i would love to switch her to evo but i can't afford $40/12 lb bag and i don't want her going grain free until a year anyway. i'll probably stick with the innova because both of my dogs love it and are doing well. maybe i'll go grain-free w/ TOTW because it's surprisingly cheaper than the grain food i'm feeding now but not for some while.

i forgot i made this thread. thank you all for the responses!
