| Rally is Obedience done in an Agility fashion. Basically, they set up a course like they do in Agility, but at each station there is a sign with the Obedience function you have to perform. It is a lot of fun because you can actually interact with your dog. You can talk and praise your dog through the course. You just can't touch the dog or have food in the ring. It is a lot of fun. My Chloe just got her first title last summer, and hope to have her 2nd title once we start competing again in the Rally Advanced. You have different levels you can attain in Rally. If you do the AKC Mixed Breed, then the levels are Rally Novice (RN), Rally Advanced (RA), Rally Excellent (RE), and Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE). The first 3 are easier to get, the last one takes a lot longer, as you have to qualify in Advanced and Excellent in the same show the same day to get a Q, and you need 10 to get the RAE. But it's a ton of fun.
Oh, just so you know, Chloe is also in my avatar, my Sheltie. I also have 2 Border Collies. |
