Question Trying to figure out new dog breeds

We have finally found a dog that gets along great with Bella and brought him home today, He a 1 yr old nutered male. The guy that brought him in said the mother was a retriever and the father a lab. He definetly has a retreiver face, but I don't see any lab in him whatsoever. I do see shepard. What do you think? The picture of the two, he's on the left.

Maybe the father that is a Lab was actually a mix of Lab and Shepherd? He is a beauty that's for sure. Congradulations on your new addition. I agree with what was said. He looks Lab/Shephred Mix.

Thanks guys, he is very cute.
He's still a puppy which I'm not use to so its taking time getting used to the higher energy and constantly wanting to play (I think Bella might hate me for that haha)
He's also whining a whole lot which I really hope is just because he's in a new place.

lol thanks for bursting my bubble! :P I think at his previous owners left him outside a lot, so that probably makes up for a lot of whining.
I'll have the tie set up tomorrow so he can go outside for longer periods.

OMG Adorable!! He MATCHES Bella!! How cute!!

Is he fully grown? He looks very slender for a shep/retriever (Which IS what he looks like-but could there be soemthing slimming in there? We have a lot of greyhound mixes here...)
