that bolded statement.... this means YOU are going to have to work extra hard with him. people already have horrible generalizations about a lot of these breeds and its up to the owners to prove this. if you really really want to prove how nice they can be, i would really encourage you to work towards getting his CGC. this, to me, is huge in proving how well mannered and safe a dog is.

i wouldnt focus on weight and size. the bolded statement, isnt good. hes already 5months old. start NOW with obedience classes. this is a very powerful and headstrong dog. he is going to take a lot of training, especially if you think you have something to prove about him. do all the training you can.
someone also mentioned what you feed him matters. and it really does. you have to use a food thats within the proper calorie range, calcium

hosporus, etc. if you have questions about that please ask. thats very important. i have a dog who had a growth disease, its not pretty and very devestating.
