Ogawa? Okawa?

I was walking my dog yesterday and met a couple with a really beautiful dog, a breed I had never seen or heard of before. It was a very tall dog with a physiognomy that looked close to a Setter. Long nose, beautiful mid-lenght black and tan coat. When I asked the owners what type of dog it was, they said something that sounded like "Ogawa" Anyone know about that breed? It was a really nice dog!

no clue....was it a setter and they just called it something else? Where are you location wise? the states?

I'm in Montreal, Canada. It was much bigger than a setter. Looked a bit like a Tervuren, but not that close to a GSD.
