new puppy rescued from shelter.. not sure of breed

just as it says the paperwork the shelter gave me says boxer but im thinking something else but i won't say so it don't influence any opinions...

he is really smart.. we have had him for 2 days and he knows sit and lay down and potty training is going EXCELLENT.. he pees as soon as we set him down outside and then re runs back up stairs lol
