Exclamation I'm trying to figure out what kinda dog I have. (Saved him from the pound)

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out or give me a clue as to what kind of dog I have. I got him from the pound and the pound said they were not sure what breed he is, but he most likely had Golden Retriever in him. He is around 1 year old now, and weighs around 40lbs. I seriously think he might have some fox in him.

Anyways, here are a few pictures of him.

If you think you might know gimme a tip. Even if your not sure.
Much thanks.

Sweet, thanks for the fast reply.
Does he appear to you that he could be mixed with anything?

And np, we (my family) really did save him. He was 1 day away from getting put to sleep from kennel cough, and something else.. forgot what it was now.

He could be-hard to tell But seriously a heeler is about the same size, same face, same ears... Could be pure? Who knows.

Look up Australian Cattle dog too-that's an AKA for a heeler

Yea I was going to say heeler and maybe Basenji thrown in. The reasoning is that wrinkling in the brow. Congratulations on your new arrival!

Its the same color as his whole body other than a small patch of hair that is very dark. Same coloration as your common German Shepherd.
The fur looks like a german shepherd as well (the pattern).
