I've seen looks of hounds with yellow or green eyes, it's just a fault in the show ring for most breeds.

I swear those eyes are going to turn hazel on ya. It's a husky trait.

My Nala had beautiful translucent green eyes for the first month or so that I had her but now they are turning to an greenish amber colour. I was told that they would probably go completely amber as she matures.
Kinda too bad cause the green sure looked nice with her deep chocolate coat.

Haha OliveLove! I love her either way.
I was reading that they would have started turning by 8 weeks and she's almost 12 weeks now... Being hopeful? LoL

Shadowkins, How old was Nola when hers started turning?

Mo also had green eyes when he first came home, and they eventually turned brown.

In my personal opinion, the hazel eyes are even better! Definitely not meaning to be a buzz kill.

I personally have a 16 week old Husky pup, and that's why I'm being so insistent on this, hehe. When I got her at 8 weeks, she had the most vibrant emerald eyes. They actually didn't start turning until she was around 11 or 12 weeks, and even then it was mostly when the sun hit them at the right angle. At 16 1/2 weeks, they have now gotten to the point where they are mostly hazel. The center of her eyes are still a very beautiful shade of green, they're just more... complex now. I will post some pics when I get home, I'm at work now.

Amber\hazel are still beautiful! To be honest it's what I see in those eyes that's the most beautiful! Her soul.

I was just hoping to narrow down what type of hound she may be mixed with. And no, you're not a buzz kill! LoL look forward to the pics.
