Help ID my dog's breed!

I just adopted this sweet guy from a local shelter and have no idea what kind of mix he is. They had him listed as a Shepherd mix, but clearly there's more to him than that!! Anybody have any ideas??

Thanks!

I'm gonna take a wild guess.. He looks like border collie or australian shepard, and german shepard.. No idea tho, he could be an all american mutt with hundreds of breeds in him! Very georgous dog though! Good luck with him!

What is throwing me off is the brindle coloring. The only other breed I can think of that is smaller with brindle is a corgi. Mix that with aussie maybe?

I see cardigan welsh corgi and australian shepherd May have a few other breeds, but those are the two dominant breeds IMO.

Yes, I was going to say Aussie for sure...maybe some shepherd/chow? the brindle coloring makes me think maybe some Pit in their somewhere...There's a lady at the local dog park that has a brindle pit/shep mix that looks VERY similar to that except without so much fluff! but what a gorgeous coat!!
