Well, let's see.
As a kid, we always had Cocker Spaniels - had to be English and Black and Female, it seems. All had to be named Jeannie.
Then, I took in a few dogs:
- A Sheepdog mix of unknown breed when he was small. A surprise growth. Called him Monty
- Some sort of terrier, brown - named him Charlie
- Another terrier, black and white - called him Boots cz of his white feet
After I married, we got:
- a toy Pomeranian - named him Randy
- an American Eskimo Spitz - Called him Nikki
They came with me when we split. After they died, I got:
- an abused American Eskimo Spitz from the humane society I named Kobe
- a lab/chow mix puppy from a woman who couldn't care for her - called her Cindy.
And after they died in 2005-2006, I went back to the pound and found a Belgian Shepherd (Malinois) who was about a year old. Named him Tyler. That's him in my avatar, the day after I brought him home.
We took a walk in a beautiful forested park near me. In this shot, he's looking out from atop a hill at the surrounding countryside. Can't imagine what he could have spotted that got him so interested. We were several thousand feet up with nothing but space in front of us.
But he's very intelligent and has sharp eyes. He could have seen a squirrel in a treetop way across that open divide.
I've added pictures of Nikki, Cindy and Kobe in my Dogs list.
