dog breed with five back toes?

Hi,
last october we adopted a dog from the shelter. He is the best! We kept thinking he is a Labrador - Shar Pei Mix...but we are not sure... since he has 5 toes on his back feet. No, they are not dewclaws..the 5th ones are actual toes with bone structure and everything... are there any dogs breeds that have that? Do people breed for that?
Thanks

There are two types of dewclaws, those attached by skin, and those attached by bone like a normal toe. they would still be dewclaws. Some breeds have them some don't. Some individual dogs have them some don't. I once had a litter of puppies (4 Smooth Fox Terriers) and 2 had back dewclaws, 2 didn't.

I agree with instyle. It is a dew claw. The Great Pyrenees must have double dew claws on the back to fit breed standard. There are no dog breeds that are polydactyl like some cats. The only other way a dog may have extra toes would be a genetic abnormality.
