Does Anyone Own a Black Lab/Shepherd/Husky Mix?

Hi,
I have a female dog who looks very similar to yours. I adopted her from an animal shelter and originally they had her listed as a Chow and then decided she was an Akita. What are your thoughts?

My new puppy is a lab/shepard mix. It sounds like they ahve a lot of the same characteristics. He only barks when he really has to potty or starts playing really hard. Other than that he makes the silliest doggie noises to "talk" to us. He is a great dog though and is so fast to catch on to things! He looks very similar to your dog as well (but puppy size ;-) )

I own a mix just like that. he does do the huffing and the owowowowowow thing too. in experience my dog is very stubborn when it comes to learning but he loves attention and is very smart. he just chooses not to act like it. He loves to play and eats ALOT. he also will hold a grudge if you leave him alone for too long. Very intelligent dog and very fun to be around and take care of you just have to understand if they don't want to do something they won't.

looks some what like mine. I only know what the mother was since she was found in the dump Mother looked like a belgian shepherd. Mine had ears like that when she was young but the finally stood up. Mine also grumbles.

My lab/golden/corgi mix did a lot of huffing too, but she did bark when she wanted to. The huffing is what she did when there was someone outside she wanted to bark at but knew that she wasn't supposed to I don't see the husky in his looks, but the owowowow type sounds are common Husky vocalizations, so I suppose its possible there's a little in there somewhere... I don't think Labs usually do that, and I don't think I've heard of GSDs doing it either.

Temperament-wise, labs are usually very eager to please and happy-go-lucky, while huskies and GSDs are typically very intelligent, driven, and have a strong work/play drive. GSDs tend to be shy and nippy if not socialized right though, and Huskies like to be escape artists so they can runrunrun. Since he's a mix you may get more of one personality than another, especially since you don't know what socialization he got as a puppy. In any case, all three breeds tend to be on the higher-energy side (not 100% sure on GSD since I'm not quite as familiar with them), so make sure to give him lots of exercise or else he might use his intelligence to "think up" games and entertainment for himself... Not all of which you might approve of

I know this is about a year old but he is cute! I have a German Shepherd Black Lab Husky mix and they look like they could be brothers! Rufus has alot of brown in him but the face and ears are so similar!

I own a chocolate lab, but she has black in her coat, as well. I think your dog is a German Shepard / Black Lab mix, because it looks like my dog, who is a Chocolate Lab / German Shepard Mix. Only with floppier ears. It looks more like a GSD and a BL than anything else.

i foster a greyhound/husky mix and he huffs A LOT!!!! that signature owoowwooowwowow you speak of, is exactly what he does, he does bark alot outside but indoors, he huffs. i tell people hes just talking back! lol

Her name is Nyx, and she is a lab/husky/german shepherd/wolf mix. (I know her parents). I've had ever since she was three months old. She is two years old now, and is my favorite fur baby. I have two other dogs, a purebred lab and a lab/border collie mix. Nyx was so much easier to train than both of them. She loves to play fetch, and barely barks. Only if there is someone close to our yard, or another animal in our yard. She's so sweet too, so even though she barks at people, she makes up for it by licking them to death.
