Breed Identification- Feist Terrier??

I adopted my second foster dog back in Feb, so I have no real information on her, but I've had 2 people ask me if she is a Feist. Anyone have any experience on this breed, and could tell me if that's what she is?

All I know is that she is from Missouri, where I've heard Feists are fairly common. Also, she has a much softer coat than a JRT and is not barky at all, which I've heard is a Feist characteristic. Thanks!

She's very cute!
A feist is not a breed- it is a type. Your girl almost has a slight bull-terrier type head, especially in the last pic. Maybe that + JRT and possibly some other stuff in there?

Thanks Cali!

Well she kindof moved at the last second in that last pic, so her head is a bit fuzzy. I've had a bazillion people call her a Jack, but she's obviously not a pure Jack. First time I've heard Bull Terrier, but I guess its possible!

Also, forgot to say she is a steady 20 pounds and is a pogo-stick of a dog haha. Jumpy jumpy jumpy like a JRT or Rat Terrier.

Maybe its worth a DNA test.. I did that with my other dog (found one on Google for $40, figured that was a decent price) and it was pretty cool!

Oooh you'll have to let us know the results if you do a DNA test! A few of our members have used the Wisdom Panel test and been very happy with it.
Hmm ok I see how her head is kinda blurred in the last pic. I would definitely say she's gotta have some JRT in there (boing!!).
Do you have a pic of her with her head turned from her level? Its hard to tell the shape from the pics you posted due to the angle :]

Hahaha Yes I know the pictures are not the best She moves so dang much its hard to get a good shot!! When I have another pair of hands tomorrow I'll try to get some "stacked" pictures, and have someone else do the camera work!

The top pic is the closest thing I've ever got for a stack picture haha. Its usually me hollering commands and her zippin' around like a maniac, doing hot laps around me in the yard. Sigh

She's an absolute blast! I've got her in flyball training, and she really loves it. Hopefully she'll be racing later this year! That's why I was curious to know if she could pass as a Feist, for flyball registration purposes. The breed doesn't really matter much (because everyone can play), but if I register her as a Feist I would automatically have the #5 Feist in America haha even with 0 points! Woo! Otherwise I register her as Mixed Breed and be #gazillion-and-one ha

Thanks! Well for flyball I only have to register with NAFA (North Amercian Flyball Association) for her to play. They just need breed and age, because all racing dogs must be at least 1 year old and they want breed so they can divide up statistics. Long story short, if I register her as a Feist I would really only get bragging rights to have the #5 Feist in North America. That's it. BUT I don't want to look like a horrible person and register a dog that couldn't even pass as a Feist. ya know?
