I don't know if anyone has chastised her for bringning him home early but simply given advice as she has asked, examples of why we all said he should have stayed longer & repeated given advice. It very much sounds like he, health wise, is far better off coming to his new home. The good thing is that she is trying to be a good puppy mom & do the right things, she just wasn't prepared for true puppyhood & all that comes with it - worms, parasites, behaviors..... She'll learn & is getting more comfortable as time goes on. |

| Multiple times on multiple threads. I just think beating her over the head with is isn't going to help her moving forward. Not that that is what you are doing if you didn't realize everyone has already told her she shouldn't have brought him home early.
I agree with you she wasn't prepared but no one can ever be fully prepared. You never know what the puppy's personality is going to be until you bring him home.
Patience is the key here. |

| I already said, SCRATCH the video. I know now what I was doing was wrong and I have not continued those actions.
I am taking all this advise and using it.
I DO have patience, I am just here asking questions. Thats what this thread and forum is for.
Thanks for the help. I will continue to work with him.
p.s. I already know that he should have stayed with his litter mates longer but that would have been a little hard when all of them were in different homes, dont you think? |

| And that's not fare of you to say I am not prepared.
I joined the forum, didn't I?
I have asked question after question for over a month, haven't I?
I was researching everything I could before I got Loekin, didn't I?
I DID prepare myself, as much as I could!
No puppy is the same, therefor NO on can really be prepared.
I was ready to deal with everything you mentioned(worms, parasites, behaviors)
I took him to the vet, didn't I?????
All I am doing now is asking questions to further help my situation.
You are not the perfect dog owner, so please, stop putting me down.
I know what I am doing, and at this point, I am trying to be the best mom to Loekin as I can be. |

| pick the toys up and kinda "wear" them on your hands...works easy with stuffies...play with him like normal, just using the toys as protection...if he misses the toys, "ouch" and stop for a few seconds then start again. |

| MV...Calm down. It doesn't matter if you sat on your butt for a month and didn't prepare you are trying now and that is what matters.
Keep asking questions. Everyone here is trying to help. I don't think anyone thinks you weren't trying to prepare before you got Loekin. But I think no matter how much you prepare there are some things you just can't prepare for. You never what type of personality you are going to get. And sometimes you don't know what questions to ask until a problem arises.
I keep saying be patient and be consistent. I still have to say that to myself ALL THE TIME. I guarantee you everyone on here has to remind themselves to be patient. I apologize if you took that as an attack.
You will get through this with Loekin and everything will be fine. |
