Potty problem.

My question isn't about housetraining, but Xena has a strange problem when she goes outside.
She's an impatient pooper.

On occasion she seems to get tired of being in the position in the last few critical seconds when the turd should be falling off her captain's quarters. She'll take off forward and immediately her tail will drop because she knows the turd is there. So naturally, she gets a skid mark. Ugh.
I end up having to hose her off in the kitchen sink with the sprayer thing.

We go out when she tells me, and we go out calm. I give her time to do her business. I simply think she starts to think that the turd just doesn't want to come off... or it's taking too long.

I bet no one has heard of this issue before.

Any one have any bright ideas?

LOL
Liza was doing this too!! And also she was walking during the action...!
Like you I was waiting for her to tell me when it's time to go out for her "business".
I found out that separating the walk from toilet and let her out more often (not when she tells me to but earlier) solved the problem.

Also I think this video will help with impatience

Interesting to know that this is common. My 1-1/2 years old does the same, both walking and not waiting. I normally leash him before we go out so when he is going, I tell him to stay repeatedly so we won't have the goldfish scenario. As soon as it drops though, I praise him like crazy and let him run.
