persistence on your part will get you thru... i have a tendency to move to fast when i'm working on stuff, and then i have a similar experience where it seems like things are sorta falling apart, i've learned to find ways to pace myself and to set time-line type goals that are way way longer then i actually believe the training will take... so if something is going to take 2 weeks to teach, i aim for a month... that way i don't get in too big of a rush and i don't get frustrated as much... i've found that my dog learns at lightening speed when i have this sort of approach...
