Brittany Spaniels Portrait - The Dog Whisperers?

Here's one of the reasons I've been so busy the past month, hardly time to breathe, but that's a good thing! These 2 siblings...older dogs...often seem to converse! They are also hunters so I wanted to show them in a habitat that would be natural for them. It's 16 x 20 in colored pencil on pastel paper. Hope you like!

Thank you, Brit! They are a cute breed, very expressive faces. I have other photos of him where he looks like he's telling a joke, honestly. We decided together on this one though, and I really like it. The girl on the right's face turned white on the day her human mom passed...she knew.

She's definitely the more laid back of the two. It's hard with the elderly ones, they often do look mad or sad, even if they're not. I recently did an elderly cat and he was really hard to make not look disgusted at the whole world!!

thanks, Fawkese! Your dog looks so much like my Otto. Except Otto is almost 11 and his muzzle really whitened up this year.
