| Hahaha ok thank you!!
This is who I am in love with now lol "Pierce, along with the rest, have endured the worst nightmare you can imagine - 3 very long years having to stay in a crowded kennel. There were many days when their kennel was the last to be cleaned because they were not being viewed by the public as their section was roped off due to the pending court case. No beds/blankets/toys. Days when in the heat and humidity of the summer, and one water bowl was not enough for four dogs and they would go without water. The floors were continuously wet because of either humidity or rain from outside coming in - drains blocked. Their food was thrown at them and always before they cleaned their kennel. None of the shelter workers (before the new law in January 09 was passed that all shelter dogs have to have at least a 15 minute walk a day) would walk these guys and it has been up to just a couple of very dedicated volunteers to keep them mentally and physically going." Pierce a 3 year old Border collie mix, came to our rescue recently, I would like to share a little snippet of the kind of life or no life Pierce experienced for the past 3 years. Pierce was part of a legal case that finally got resolve this month. (This was written by a volunteer at the local shelter in Pennsylvania) "Pierce, along with the rest, have endured the worst nightmare you can imagine - 3 very long years having to stay in a crowded kennel. There were many days when their kennel was the last to be cleaned because they were not being viewed by the public as their section was roped off due to the pending court case. No beds/blankets/toys. Now that Pierce is at Pets with Disabilities, we are beginning to realize in just a short period of time, he does not know toys, beds, car rides, biscuits, carpeting, furniture, cats, stairs, linoleum, or food dishes- he has been fed from cardboard "hot dog holders" and has known only this horrible existence his entire life. He doesn't know anything other than the horrid shelter that has been more of a prison than a safe haven since the day he was born. Paddy was his name when he came here to Pets with Disabilities but I soon realized his eyes were so piercing, as if to say "Thank you, I think I have finally landed safely!" |

| Iam afraid to click...oh god.
For our wedding, we donated money to a rescue that does elderly and SN dogs. That site was very sad. |

| AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I want! Billy is a sweet, handsome, 19 pound pug who is looking for his forever home. He was rescued from a puppy mill two years ago. Billy has retina degeneration and is blind. He gets around well. I keep things in the same place and he maneuvers very well. He requires prescription eye drops twice a day. Billy has arthritis in his front legs. He has seen an orthopedist and it was determined that surgery is not an option for him. He is on a Glucosomine and Chondroitin supplement and his weight must be carefully maintained. He cannot do stairs or long walks but he does enjoy short walks. Billy is somewhat housetrained if taken out and kept on his schedule. He does, however, have accidents in the house. Billy is a little doll boy who just wants a home of his own and someone to love and take care of him. Billy is a Puppy Mill Rescue pup and is being fostered in New Jersey. For more adoption information please email. |

| I TOLD YOU NOT TO LOOK CRIO!!! Sorry!!!
I saw that little guy Billy's cute!
I was looking and thinking-I could only do a three legged or other-blind would be doable maybe maybe...but deaf would not work at the dogpark hey? I wouldn't want to leave one dog home, don't know how well those collars work though....? (Ok and just dreaming really Dave is really stuck on not getting another doggie yet...but I can dream!) |
