Oh man that poor baby. I am so glad you are rescueing him! I can't wait to see him when he is all fattened up. I had a pit that was just like him when I was young and he was a great dog he loved to lean into me to get his pets. He followed me everywhere I went when I was horse back riding. He loved everybody and did not have a mean bone in his body. We lived in the country and we think someone just dropped him off and of course we always feed and housed all the ones that were lucky enough to find there way to our house. We always notified the shelter but it was very rare that anyone came to claim on of our dogs/cats that found us. He was full grown when he showed up at our house and he stayed with us about 8 years until he went to the rainbow bridge. I just don't see how people can be so mean to just leave there animals like that. Give him hugs for me. What are you going to name him? We called ours Tiger not very creative but I was only about 9 at the time. LOL

Haha! My grandparents in India owned an all brindle pittish looking mutt (or so i thought it looked pittish I was young at that time though as well) and his name was Tiger as well.

Anyhow sorry about being off-topic.

Well.. now I like the name Tiger! but i am biased I guess. hehe.

Umm How about Lucky because he is Lucky he found you. LOL When I got Charlie last week I went to a web site with dog names and made a list of the ones I liked then read them to him and when I said Charlie he looked at me and wagged his tail so that is how he got his name.

So he is home from early afternoon He is a little sleepy probably from the vacs and meds but he likes the sofa and kisses and he knows to sit in the passenger's seat in the car...he really enjoyed the ride

He is gorgeous and when he gains some weight he will be a very beautiful dog!
He looks fearless and ready to fight and protect his family...while calm and agile He just have that look...so my father named him Abram like the M1A1 Abram tank...he just looks SOB like the tank
We are also thinking the name Ares the Greek god of war...like we have Achilles (the Mal)

So Abram or Ares??

Oh my gosh he's gorgeous! And omg I'd have to hold myself back from force feeding 24/7 poor thing is a coat hanger! He is sooo lucky to have found you

I like Aries I think he deserves a tough name-he must have such inner strength to hang on to life for so long with no food and no love.

I think I like Ares as well ... I'll let my dad decide tho ...sometimes he is just so stubborn!! I think Ares suits him perfect!...and I like Greek names, remind me of my real father

Yeah I try to feed him all the time!! Making excuses like "training time" He cannot eat much tho. His eyes are beautiful...I am not sure but I think adopted dogs has a different look. It was the same feeling with Forest. I know that my other dogs love me and are loyal to me but there is something in these "ex-stray" dogs when they look at you!
Could it be that they understand that they have a second chance with a new family??

I like Aries but Abram is nice too. I think stray dogs can sense that they are getting a second chance. They might not have that exact thought, but they know they are loved and safe.

I am SOOOOO glad you adopted him!
