One or Two puppies?

Our lives have revolved around getting dogs the past few months, we brought a house with a fully fenced section, a bigger car so we could take them to the river/beach and are in the process of making a kennel. Now it is time to get the dog and we are wondering one or two? We are looking at 7 1/2 week old lab hunterway x though we will get them once they are 8wks. i have done a substantial amount of reading on whether 2 puppies is better then one, how much extra work they will be etc and still am unsure.

How much extra work will two puppies be? Will they keep each other company during the day while we are working (to prevent barking) or get up to mischeif? Will they need two kennels or be happy sharing one?

Looking forward to your insights

personally i think having more than one dog is great, but i wouldn't get them at the same time... imo it would be harder to get them to interact with you... if you do get 2, plan on getting 2 of everything...it basically costs twice as much for some stuff... think about vet costs too...

that is just my 2 cents tho...

welcome to the forum btw... and you have to post pictures

Unless given lots of induvidual attention they will bond with each other and not so much with you. The idea of two dogs is a good one, but littermates, imo is a bad idea...

Good one pup is enough!! LOL

I was going to say if you were having a baby-I mean twins are cool-but that is an insane amount of work! So pups think of in the same way-that's two dogs to toilet train and puppy train and do shots and ...etc etc

Would love to see pics when you get one
