you may have to redo alot of stuff, or you could get lucky and not really have too....even if you do have to retrain her a bit...it should go way faster since she understands the *game* now...really hard to say much more tho without seeing the dog in action

I also find it very ironic the dog is named Chuck LOL

He's being fostered by a behaviorist (a real one inside dogforum joke-for those who know heheeh)

oh so he doesn't live in northern PA then? Thats probably for the best

Thanks! That's what I was thinking...
We were visiting them (Mandy and my folks-they were camping) last weekend and I brought Mikey and of course they did awesome. But there was a dog next door campsite and Mikey and this dog were SCREAMING at each other (Thankfully MAndy can't hear!) -so I asked them and we took Mikey over and let them both off leash (Mikey and Maggie as it were lol) and they bombed all over and instantly clicked and played for an hour.
We though Mandy might be upset. She watched and wagged (not her predator wag lol-more like 'Dave is here!! YEAH!' wag) so it was interesting...she may be doing better then I'm giving credit for. I thought she'd really react seeing rough and tumble play -especially with her newphew (Mikey).

by next saturday do you mean tomorrow? omg omg! *fingers crossed* he is so handsome!
it's next next Saturday. Today the behaviorist has dog shows-I think agility and something else-she's busy all weekend.

OK so we're going tomorrow to see him, but Mikey may not be invited. Waiting for the shelter to call us back and let us know what the VET Says...

Because guess what my dog did (heheh he's now MY dog lol)-Chuck got porcupined!!! OMG Feirce...I've seen pictures...I can't imagine.

So we'll still be going to see him, Mikey may or may not come this time. I'm seriously so excited-but oh man-worried about my poor goofy doggie

Chuck is handsome but it is really too bad about him being porcupined. it sounds almost like this dog is meant to be with his name and all good luck!

I'm sooo excited!! He is SOOO handsome!!
I really wish you Mikey to get him home with no problems from Dave and Mikey (I'm sure Mikey would love a dog to play with )
He is one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen...and his "quirks" (I don't really know what that means ) sounds like pros to me!

Soo....

I don't think we're sold...Chuck was lovely and doing really well even though he was puffy and in pain. His 'quirks' are nothing, I mean for the average dog owner who has kids and work and limited time, yeah I can see that being difficult but for us, I think it'd be a cinch.

However-we could only do a brief meet with Mikey because Chuck was sore and although it went ok, Mikey was not 'clicking' the way he will with certain dogs.
Could he tolerate Chuck-maybe. Would he be definitely happy? I really don't think so.

We're still thinking about it, but really I think -sadly-this will be a no for us I really really liked Chuck and I think we'd be a great home-but I don't think Mikey was digging him at all
