I want to help transport rescues...

As some of you may know from my other posts I am going to hopefully soon be going back to being a truck driver and I would love to help transport rescue dogs to there new homes or fosters. Does anyone know of any groups that may be interested in my help when the time comes?

i don't know of any off hand, i would start by contacting your local shelters and see what they suggest... also lots of rescue groups that do foster may be interested in your assistance with this...

it is a cool idea, especially since you will be driving around anyway... keep us posted on what you come up with...

there is actually an organization where truck drivers transport for people. I can't think of the name, but you could probably find it if you search google enough

I keep hearing about dogs being transported from Indiana back east somewhere because all our shelters are full and they have room in New York, for example. But I haven't a clue how to find out about it other than to just start calling some of the Shelters in the state.

Thank you so much Mikey! I have saved it to my favorites and as soon as I get out on the road again I am going to contact them and see how I can help. I am so excited to be able to do this.
